Environment Minister Gives Assurances on Oil Spil Readiness

The minister of the environment has been assured by the federal government that we have adequate response capability should there be an oil spill in Placentia Bay. Charlene Johnson was responding to questions from NDP Leader Lorraine Michael after the Coast Guard sent a significant portion of the containment boom allotment for the east coast to the Gulf of Mexico.
