Environment groups not pleased with new emissions reduction targets (AM770 CHQR)

Federal Environment Minister Jim Prentice told a Calgary audience Monday that Canada won’t set regulations for industry to reduce greenhouse gas emissions before those in the United States are complete. He says it could put Canadian businesses at a competitive disadvantage. But Marlo Raynolds, the executive director of the Pembina Institute, wonders why Canada is waiting and doing nothing.
